Ufa Scientific and Technical Center was founded in 2005. Our activities were initially aimed at finding solutions to various problems in oil production including prevention and mitigation practices to minimize scaling, asphaltenes, paraffins and resins deposition and corrosion. We also conducted research for development of software technologies for oil field monitoring
Starting 2010 our Company turned into a diversified enterprise with a wide range of upstream services provided:
- Reservoir engineering and management: over 70 successful projects implemented for Russian oil and gas majors
- Each project is developed with cutting-edge technological advances providing best reserves depletion rates and recoverable volumes
- Development and implementation of software tools to facilitate decision-making for petroleum exploration and production projects
- Our flagship commercial software NGT Smart is used by over ten Russian and foreign oil and gas companies (Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Serbia, China)
- Engineering support for advanced reservoir simulation technologies including but not limited to bottomhole treatment, remedial cementing and water control, improved/enhanced oil recovery (IOR/EOR)
- Development of proprietary chemical agents NGT to solve problems in oil production
In 2015 we started providing services for well design and support of drilling operations aimed at boosting the efficiency of well construction due to:
- Minimization of drilling hazards and accidents
- Reduction of non-productive time
- Increase in control over well construction process
- Creation of a unified database with information on drilling problems, mitigation measures, solutions accumulated as lessons learned and best practices in well design
From 2014 till now we have been successfully implementing projects to develop hard-to-recover reserves (i.e. unconventional reservoirs including the Bazhenov, Achimov and Domanik Formations) as well as integrated engineering and economic evaluation of potentially productive assets
In 2014 we started our own production of chemicals. From 2014 to 2017 we manufactured and sold over 500 tons of produced chemicals for our in-house projects and for third party projects
Since 2017 we have taken regional petroleum potential studies and basin analysis (for the Bazhenov and Achimov Formations)
In 2016-2017 Ufa Scientific and Technical Center hit TOP 100 in the National Rating of Russian High-Technology Fast Developing Companies
Our vision and strategy is to become a leading provider of engineering services for the upstream oil and gas industry
In 2018 we opened a subsidiary company called LLP "NGT URAL" in Arytau, the Republic of Kazakhstan
