Field operations support center is a business division within Ufa Scientific and Technical Center which includes two laboratories: fluid dynamics laboratory and chemical laboratory

- Perform measurements with required accuracy and constantly ensure compliance to accreditation criteria
- Academic and industry specific studies, including research, development & testing and engineering services, publishing scholarly articles, patenting, participation in scientific and technical conferences and workshops
- Scientific and engineering support of relevant sections in project technical documentation
- Scientific and engineering support of operations including experimental work and analysis of findings
- Carry out product testing within the scope of accreditation
- Manage and implement effective QA/QC procedures for product testing
- Promote state of the art testing techniques, participate in conferences, workshops and seminars on testing techniques and procedures
Field operations support center has solid hands-on experience and performs research in the following areas:
- Development of proprietary line of chemicals
- Compatibility studies, process efficiency and scope of application for new components and additives used in remedial and service fluids
Testing of surfactant agents (water-repellent agents, wetting agents, emulsifiers, detergents, demulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors) for the following criteria:
- Stability in harsh environment under extreme temperatures and salinity
- Surface-active properties
- Solubilizing properties
- Interaction of various chemicals and compatibility with formation fluids
- Effect on oil treatment
- Technology improvement for near bottomhole treatment and stimulation of injection and production wells
Testing of acids, acid compositions, ready-mixed commodity acid compositions followed by screening and selection of the most effective based on the following parameters:
- Measured reactional activity
- Measured compatibility with formation fluids
- Measured emulsifying and demulsifying properties
- Adaptation of advanced technologies and development of chemicals for selective isolation of excess water production
- Measurement of physical and chemical properties including rheological characteristics
- Optimization of technological parameters of flow deviation compositions and adaptation to actual field conditions
- Optimization of oil gathering, transport and processing processes
- Measuring and analysis of physical and chemical properties of reservoir oil, produced water and oil emulsions
- Rheological testing with measurements of critical water-cut to prevent problems during field pipeline transportation
- Testing of a wide range of demulsifies and depressants available on the market and manufactured by Russian and foreign companies with follow-up screening and shortlisting the most effective compositions
- Optimization of specific consumption of demulsifies and depressants
- Selecting optimum locations / spots for dosing demulsifies and depressants
- Optimization of time and temperature requirements of emulsion breakdown process
- Quality evaluation of treated oil and water
