The event was organized by “Research-and-production firm “Nitpo”, “Oil. Gas. Innovations” scientific and technical magazine.  The event was held within the framework of the “Black sea oil and gas conferences” project. This year the project celebrates its 10th anniversary. “UNTC” LLC offer congratulations to the organizing committee upon this event.

The conference was attended by the representatives of  major Russian and foreign oil and gas companies (PJSC “Lukoil”, LLC “Bashneft-Dobycha”, PJSC “Tatneft”, PJSC “Bulgarneft”, etc), scientific and educational institutions (Institute of Petroleum Chemistry, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Gazprom VNIIGAZ, Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University, SamaraNIPIneft, RN-UfaNIPIneft, etc.) , software companies for upstream block (GIS ASU Project, Parma Telekom, UNTC, etc.), service and manufacturing companies (Lukoil-engineering, Lukoil-inform, Predpriyatie V-1336, etc.).

Among the topical issues stated within the framework of the conference program, the greatest coverage was given to issues concerning:

·                    Innovative approaches to reservoir management: the use of integrated models at decision making; choice of software for the process automation; development of concepts, standard, methodologies; training and recruitment of personnel for work on “smart” oilfields;

·                    Implementation of “smart” technologies: enhanced oil recovery methods designing, automated control of oil well in the process of oil and gas extraction, use of systems of submersible telemetry; work optimization of field facilities by means of adoption of high-technology measuring and controlling systems, remote control stations.

We would like to mention the high awareness level of the participants: all reports were informative and educational; the audience enthusiastically discussed the topics in question, aiming to achieve a shared constructive opinion on topical issues. The representative of “UNTC” LLC Khatmullina E.I. was awarded a valuable present by the organizing committee for her active involvement in the conference discussions.  

The following reports were most remembered:

- The “smart”chemical compositions for enhanced oil recovery of high-viscosity oil pools, prof.Altunina L.K. The author elaborated on modern technologies related to the choice of effective “smart” compositions for carrying out of EOR measures and also presented the results of many years of successful application of gel compositions on Russian and foreign assets.

- The “Smart oilfield” system project OJSC “Lukoil”, Lobkov Yu. A.  The report highlighted the issues of creation of the Life –field Lukoil Overseas concept. The author presented the results of the pilot project on the use of integrated models for optimization of production levels on the fields of Lukoil Perm.

- The intelligent system of managing a gas-condensate field development processes. “Gazprom VNIIGAZ”LLC. Fedorov I. A. The speaker reported some successful results obtained within the works on creation of intelligent system of managing gas-condensate wells operation on the basis of the neural network model. The author also highlighted a number of promising approaches and principles which are underlain in the concept of functioning of this intelligent system. In the long term this system may be used for automation of well performance profile diagnostics, researches planning.

-Intellectualization of well performance as an element of reservoir management “Bashneft-Dobycha”LLC. Enikeev R. M.  The author of the report told about the experience of creation of the decision support system in “Bashneft-Dobycha” LLC. The “NGT PALM” software tool developed by “UNTC” is used as software for this system. In his speech the author also touched upon the problems arising during the process of creation and implementation of “smart” approaches to reservoir management. Thus, according to the author, the technologies offered by hardware and software developers have to be discussed more closely with the consumers of the final product already at the design stage in order to avoid making ineffective decisions.
